We're Home!!!

Jarl and Jarlina have arrived on home shores. Their last day was spent being beach bums on Waikiki. Not a bad way to spend your last partial day of vacation. The flight left Honolulu at 6:30 Hawaii time and arrived at 6:30 Minnesota time. Jarl doesn't remember a lot of the flight. He just remembers Jarlina poking him and saying, "Stop snoring!!!" Other than a few dirty looks from other passengers it was a fairly uneventful flight.

This last picture is the view they had of Waikiki Beach from their hotel. Not too shabby!!

I was confused about your trip because of your opening comment. I didn't think you lived on an island. Of course I eventually found out that you posted your blog in reverse order. I know a lot of travel literature does that kind of thing too. I don't quite get it, but enjoyed the pictures. I did find it disappointing to not see any interesting pictures of people however.

One aspect of blogging is that anybody can see what you are doing. The silly names and lack of faces in the pictures is a way to protect your privacy. Jarlina was quite concerned that someone would see we were gone and think our home would be a prime target for a burglary. It is a slight risk, but it seemed prudent to take minor precautions.

If you use blogging with students, then you should use screen names that do not identify the student and there should not be any pictures with recognizable faces.
